Default Dash clock went crazy

This is not a real problem or complaint, but I found it amusing/puzzling. I was waiting in my car for someone and at 11:03 the analog dash clock rapidly changed time to 12:00. Neither of the digital clocks changed. About ten minutes later it reset itself to the correct time.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

Yes, I think it goes into power saving mode or something and resets when you enter the car.

Normal: When the car goes to sleep, after some period of being off, the analog clock goes back to 12:00, and when the car is subsequently unlocked, the clock hands are driven to the correct time.
Why Porsche did this is puzzling.....

Thanks.
All of the above speculations are acceptable and appreciated. I have sat in the car without the motor running many times and this never happened, so it may have to remain as one of the mysteries of Porsche engineering.

15 minutes in after turning off the car when the power cutoff occurs is when the clock rewinds from my observation.

I get if they are trying to reduce parasitic power loss when the car is off. That doesn't explain why it would then return to normal function after a few minutes. You'd think it would remain off until the car was started, otherwise it doesn't make much sense. It was just a weird thing to watch the clock move to 12:00 and then revert to the correct time, but if this is the extent of my car's odd behavior I'm good with it.
