Widescreen 12.3” Android Radio Mod for Gen1 Macan

Check out Santirx video on this unit. As long as you get the same unit or one with similar routing of the vents, the airflow is fine. It may be slightly reduced, but it's close enough that I'm not actually sure. The unit he originally purchased used a different design with much worse airflow.

Apple CarPlay transfer to new unit
Hi- Do you know if CarPlay will just transfer to the new unit? My car did not come with it, but I had it installed remotely through someone I met on the forums. I do not have the steering control button, I just use the touchscreen to use it….

These units have carplay built in (via Carlink app). Doesn't matter what you had originally.

Walnut Trim
@Santirx
Hey, Mate! Thank you so much for all these helpful guides. I just bought a 16' Macan Turbo. Considering installing this unit, but I have the walnut trim package. Did you have to replace your trim to complete this job? If so, would you recommend Mr12Volt or asundar instead? Or even just a carplay dongle?

To your question, you will need to remove your existing trims, as you won’t be able to install the unit with them. The unit comes with piano black trims, unfortunately. So, the alternative is that you either install Mr12Volt (If you watched my earlier videos then you know I recommend Mr12Volt over Isudar if you have Bose or Burmester). Or, you install this 12.3” unit and either change the rest of the trims to piano black or just wrap all the trims with your favorite wrap.
Eventhough I have piano black, I still decided to wrap my trims using black aluminum wrap, and it looks amazing.

I like the idea of upgrading the steering wheel. Can you provide more details on this? Who did you buy from? Do you need extra modules? This is something I would like to do as well…
