Default Macan S config - Thoughts?

A long time lurker but a first time poster. First off, a big hello and a thank you to the community for all the great info. I am ready to plunge into my first Porsche . My build locks in 2 weeks. I am also scheduled to do a Euro delivery at Leipzig on July 18th (any one else scheduled on July 18th at Leipzig?). I wanted to share my build and solicit input - are there any must haves that I am missing - alternatively, anything that you think is not needed? Trying to keep the cost in the $80K range. Below is the build code and link. Many thanks!

Looks good. Personally, I'd drop the locking wheel bolts.

I had the GT wheel in my 2017 911. Its smaller diameter obscured some the instruments behind the wheel. For that reason, I didn’t spec it on my 2022 Macan S. Try to sit in a car with and without the GT wheel to see it it works for you.

I took Leipzig delivery on my 911. i used Fastlane Travel to arrange my itinerary and hotels. They did a fantastic job. Check them out. If you use them, you will not be disappointed. https://fastlanetravel.com/specialty-tours/#european

I would add PTV+. Without it, the car comes with an open diff.

I like the build. But, have you priced a GTS? It comes standard with many of the options in your build.

Love that Bordeau red interior. +1 the leather package, couple cows' worth in there.

Am not expert on GTS included options at no cost, but seems some of your boxes checked would be about $3K worth on the way to a GTS. Especially the Air and Sport Chrono, my favorites.

Enjoy, especially the Euro Leipzig delivery.

Had the same thought; but pound 4 pound, the GTS was ~11K more expensive.

Window trim in black and 18 way seats would be less than $1K add. Could take off Bose if you don't really listen to music and/or the sunroof if you don't use it much.

Seems like every new build I've looked @ this year includes the locking wheel bolts - my sales person recommended adding them so I checked the box (what's another $60 when you're spending $80,90,100k+). I'm guessing those are now a standard recommendation...$60 x a few thousand vehicles adds up!

Aside from that, I like the build - I know the OP is trying to keep it around $80k and my only recommendation would be to drop the surround view and spend the money on any other options they might be considering.

I have the surround view camera and use it almost everyday--it works great, so no excuse for curbing a wheel. I've hardly used sunroofs in past vehicles and don't like LKA so left off the PP+; that could be a significant saving if you'd rarely use those additions. Mine has the noise insulating glass but IDK how much difference it makes compared to without...it does block radar detectors though. Consider the trailer hitch if you'd ever want to use a bike or gear rack..a bike barely fits inside and there's no room left for luggage. I also have 20" wheels and the car handles great for what it is, even without PTV+; air suspension is a great addition though. GT sport wheel works well for me at 5'8" but I can see where taller drivers may lose dash visibility. I just returned from a 3000 mile roundtrip and the car was flawless, quiet and comfortable so you'll love it!

I prefer my window trim in the high gloss black. For some reason, it just feels more appropriate for this vehicle. But, that is entirely subjective!

The Smartphone Wireless Charging option is a reasonable for Porsche $270
The Roof Rack is $410 or $650 in high class black and the latter includes the window trim in black as well
The 3rd suggestion is admittedly not inexpensive. The extra $1720 for the 2 tone black / red leather option replaces additional black areas with red leather instead.

Regardless, you have a beautiful build.

Hello everyone,I am looking for a reasonable flat roofing contractor in Dublin and I have short listed South Dublin Flat Roofing. They seem to be a reliable company but their prices are a little bit expensive.I would like to know if anyone here has any experience with them or can recommend any other flat roofing company in Dublin that is reliable and offers competitive prices.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Thanks folks. All great suggestions. I took a few of them into consideration and added a couple of them into the new build. As for the surround camera, I was also in two minds at first. We have it in my wife’s Q7 and find it very useful - I am assuming with very tight parking spaces in Europe, it will come handy during the euro trip. Will keep you all posted. So far so good on the euro delivery date and the trip.

I'd forgotten this but agree the window trim looks better in black. I added these two choices to my build, also a white car:

Have fun on your ED and post some good stories when you get home!
