No margins on the electrics and no federal subsidies. They would be crazy to eliminate the V6. I hope they would go to hybrid V6

Volvo, Audi,VW, GM, Ford - all having big problems with EV sales.
I would say 8% to 9.75% discount on base , new 2024 Macan off the lot was realistic when I got my car in September. But market constantly changes and you should: 1) reach out to several dealers and propose what you are willing to get it for (be ready to move if they accept your offer); 2) monitor market before, during and after holidays. My dealers would tell me sometime "come at such and such time to get best deal, now is not the best time". Generally, end of the month is the best time to get the most discount on a car; 3) each model is different, base is easier to get discounted than S or GTS, since there are fewer of V6 models on the floor.
Good luck!
Pulled a trigger on 2024 Macan T, $73,870 MSRP and got 8% off. Thanks for insight guys.
Was wondering which Macan you purchased and from what dealership?

If they say can’t meet your price then ask what’s the best they can do.
You’re just dealing with the internet sales guys and they can get back to you in an hour or faster. Email any dealership within reasonable driving distance…even in nearby states.

It was with Rusnak / 2018 S that i configured a few years ago and sent them the link. Basically just got the different dealers to keep offering their best discount and went back to the ones that would play ball. Every dealer’s first discount offer is never the best they can do. Some dealers told me to go to hell right away lol, so I stopped bothering with those ones.

If you go to the dealer's website there is a contact link and you can specify the sales department. Just enter your info / email address as preferred contact. In your message tell them you're looking to purchase a Macan you spec'd out and include the link to the porsche-code that you specd. I told every dealer that I was looking to get the config I specd out with taxes and delivery for $XX,XXX (I started with 11% off which was probably too high but had to start some where) and if they could get it done then I could come in and order it right away. Most could only get 8-9% off one on the lot or 6-7% of the spec build. Once they offer 7%, then ask if they can do 8. Then go to the next dealer and ask for 8.5-9 etc. It was just haggling through email. Easy to do and wasted very little time. Just find all the dealers within driving distance and use their website's contact link to have them get in touch with you.

It is funny what people think their car might sell for. When you go through the listings here in the forum, some of the cars with 5 or 10k miles are priced over MSRP or this person wants over 90k for his/her 22 Macan S with 5500 miles. It says the car has every option imaginable, which is clearly not the case, looking at those pictures. https://www.autotrader.com/marketpla...%26zip%3D90001
People need to understand that the Macan is not a rare 911 or something similar. It is a great Porsche but as soon as you leave the lot you loose 20%, and that is on top of the 10% discount you already received. Many dealerships have understood this and are pricing their lightly used Macans accordingly. If you are looking for the best deal, I would get a lightly used Macan S. Here is an example, 23 Macan S with 1100 miles for 66k: https://www.santamonicaaudi.com/used...rader_listings
This is exactly what I am talking about. Great value and you get a beautiful unique car with lots of bells and whistles in nearly new condition 25% below MSRP.
Except Air PASM, Sport Chrono, Sport Exhaust...that should be at least $25K less.
Those other 2 at Beverly Hills Porsche are decent deals.
Yep, again, almost all the private listings here in the forum or anywhere else are still dreaming the pandemic market dream. The car in Fresno, is much more attractive, than the car I was talking about on autotrader. The Fresno car is almost brand new and listed for 15k less than the one on autotrader. If the autotrader guy is lucky, he will get 65k (and not 92k!!) for his car but let him dream the dream for a while. When you buy a Macan/S/GTS take into account that those cars will depreciate like crazy. I repeat again, Macan/Cayenne/Panamera/Taycan are not 911s. When you have a 911, there are completely different rules but people think Porsche is Porsche and I drive my Macan for a year or so and afterwards I list it for 15% more than I paid for and make few bucks lol

thank you John. We're an MSRP dealer so when we take losses like this car we hope it ends up in a great garage.
