4 weeks ago I picked up a loaded Chalk GTS. My wife loved riding and driving it and suggested I buy her a Macan. She is defintely not a car person but immediately fell in love with my newly-acquired GTS. I started looking at Base and S models for her and mentioned in passing that she could have my Macan if she wanted it and she said YES. Surprise Surprise. I was quickly able to find an incoming GTS which was available. It is Python Green with the GTS Sport package. We are sleeping on it tonight but I have a feeling I will be calling the dealer in the morning.
Getting back on topic, I had the "track package" PPF put on my Chalk last week in addition to ceramic coating. The installer recommended doing the B and C pillar glossy black to help with scratches on those pieces, I also had the console covered in stealth. I would recommend PPF.
Congrats! She’s a beauty. Just ordered and built the same GTS in Python Green. A couple of question if I may:
1. How do the red calipers looks with the black wheels and Python in person? Right now I have mine optioned in black.
2. How are you liking the Race-Tex steering wheel? Would prefer leather but am looking forward to trying something new on this build.
1. I personally love the red calipers and in person you get to see how big of a braking system it is, Black seems to get lost in the wheel.
2. I’ve had Both leather and race-Tex in other cars. Race-Tex holds up fine if you take care of it. Both have advantages over the other, grip vs feel in your hand, ect. I personally prefer leather, but this was the wife’s car and her choice.
Python Green is a stellar color! Our is British Racing Green, a bit more subtle than PG, but we really like it. As others have mentioned and I agree, PPF on front clip is worth it. Our last Macan did receive a noticeable amount of rock chips from just "regular" driving.
Now that you've ordered, I have a 1000.00 committal deposit down on this spec. What do you regret not getting and what are you glad that you did get with your order please? Thank you!
