Default Headlight Fogging

2021 Macan and there seems to be a film on the inside of the passenger headlight plastic lens. There even looks to be some kind of smeared fingerprints along the top edge.

I can tell that this is on the inside because when I look at it through a loop I can see a dust fragment on the outside and as I change position the film moves under the dust, sort of like a parallax effect.

Anyone else have this?

I'm thinking I need to make a warranty claim as I don't believe the outer plastic lens is removable.

+1 warranty. Another poster was going to DIY cleaning, but took it in.

I miss my 993, was $75 for a new lens. All these new parts now, replace whole headlight on 997 or $750. Scratch from part that flew off a Prius, may have leaked water in.

I had the same issue on my 2021 and had it replaced recently under warranty. I also saw some internal fingerprints / smudges and a pattern like a bird's footprint.

I am now thinking its a manufacturing defect (breakdown and off-gassing of a certain material in certain environmental conditions) since I recall only reading this on 2021 models, from the limited handful of ones reported online.

I have a film (worse on driver's side but present on both) as shown in the attached photo. Planning on asking for a warranty claim from the dealer.

Seems like Porsche had a production issue after a gooey team lunch!

Same condition on our 2020 Macan, replaced $2500 headlight under warranty Nov 2021, reappeared in 2022, would not be accepted under warranty (even 7 year warranty) by Porsche.North America this time. Suggested we try another dealer who might use discretionary funding at the end of the month to win our business. BTW we run a 911 as well.

Darn, that really sucks and I never thought that it could reappear. Check that the vents are clear of debris, they appear to be essentially road draft tubes that exit under the front skid plate. Worst case, clean with methanol or there are plenty of ebay units for fairly cheap compared to dealer list.

Wasn't moisture, it was physical scratches on the top inside of the right headlight, which now apears to be happening in the replacement headlight.
