Got the whole screen CarPlay installed on my Macan by Raymond this past week. Fantastic upgrade and it’s what I imagined should have come from factory. I’m computer savvy and did not see anything suspicious. I used a throw away laptop as I will not give access to my personal computers to anyone. Basically need to buy the Ethernet adapter he requests. He then flashes the adapter to a firmware PCM recognizes. Then he sets up a network connection with PCM and updates the CarPlay app. He states it’s an update on the application level so the rest of PCM is not touched. So far working great. Highly recommended.
Raymond brought the Christmas gift for my wife’s 2023 Macan and installed the HD Full screen. The process was smooth, takes around 25/30 min and looks great, it is how it should come from factory.

Raymond is a genius for figuring this out and having a quick process to update. It is a failure on Porsche that this isn’t factory standard.
If you’re apprehensive about doing this, I just wanted to add to the numbers of people who are thrilled we don’t have to drive with the garbage Porsche redundant interface next to CarPlay.
Just finished the update to our 2021 Macan GTS. Love it!! Super easy. Make sure you have all the required adapters and cables. Took about 30min total. Some of that was me getting my laptop ready. Overall it was a smooth process and works great. Why Porsche did not do this from factory is strange.

huge icons that are easy to read. My phone list is bigger. My music list is SO much easier to read. I feel safer knowing that I have full screen for my apple car play.
and the owner is EXCELLENT. I am a tech person and had a hiccup with internet. He wakes me through what I needed. Was patient. When my what’s app was being dumb he switched to IM.
he is a season pro that can help the super user and the beginner.

Upgraded my 2023 GTS today and it's as glorious and easy as everyone has said. The customer service was excellent during the process. He even saved me a few bucks by figuring out that one of my current USB NICs would work instead of the recommended DLink product.
