Looks like Porsche has taken some lessons learned with the Taycan and applied them to the new platform.

Fastback roof looks cool from the outside but hopefully doesn't worsen the Macan's already abysmal rear seat headroom. Glad to see progress being made, EV's still have a long way to go before I want to own one, but considering we are 120+ years into development of ICE cars we'll get there eventually w/ EVs.

I am looking forward to the next few EV models from Porsche. Its been a pretty amazing rise for Porsche, given they have sold the 100,000th Taycan, this is pretty astonishing really. The Macan will lift this number higher and a wider set of options should bring more buyers to the brand - which is all good. I am also really interested in the EV Boxster too - both of these cars will be impressive given how successful the Taycan has been. They are going to be great to drive and if they can get the range right, practical too. Looking forward to it!

Cannot believe they have sold 100K Taycans. I've seen literally ONE of those on the road around here.

Based on the cost of the Taycan this EV will easily be north of 100k, especially with a larger battery and better range. The break even point compared to an ICE Macan will be wayyyyy down the road.

I've seen a good number of them in my parts. It seemed that a lot of people bought 6 figure Taycans in order to build dealership relationships to get on GT car allocation lists.

Since they have been importing the Taycan I have seen a total of two. In contrast, within an hour today in Bellevue WA I saw three Lamborghini's today. .

Yeah, LOTS in the Dallas Ft. Worth area too. The distribution of them appears regional dependent.

They're evidently planning on a RWD Macan BEV, which I'm guessing will start close to $70k, and I'm betting that the AWD Macan BEV will start closer to $80k-$85k.

I recently called my local dealership, one of the biggest in the USA by sales volume, inquiring about the Macan Electric timeline and the salesman said they (the dealership) believe the 2024 Macan will be a hybrid and start in the $80's.
Hybrid does not make sense to me, but the price point for an BEV does.
