Bummer. Wonder what is holding it up? Ordered through Porsche Pittsburgh, right?

Both S and GTS have good note with sport exhaust - GTS was a bit lounder than S - similar note - but maybe just a bit more of it with the GTS. Regardless - get sport exhaust!

Ditto on no sunroof - no plugged drains to worry about, fewer opportunities for rattles, plus I never use the sunroof.

I'm wondering how much different (better? quieter?) the GTS would be with Michelin Pilot Sport AS instead of the Pirellis. My experience is that the Michelins are usually more compliant and quieter in general, but my '21 GTS has 20" wheels so I'm wondering how much different the ride will be if I get a '23 GTS with 21" wheels, even with Michelins.

The Michelins are going to ride better and be much quieter overall. My Michelin winter tires which have a far more aggressive tread pattern are substantially quieter and more comfortable than the summer Pirelli tires that came on the car. I don't know if I can live with the Pirelli's any more and wait until they wear out on their own. Once I put them back on this spring I think I an just going to turn off traction control and and destroy them in an empty parking lot so I can have an excuse to buy some Pilot Sport 4 S tires. If these crappy Pirelli's were on a $20K compact car I can understand, but why they put them on a six figure car is beyond me.

the reason I am asking
I have GTS on order and it keeps getting delayed by at least 2 months
my dealer has an S coming in a week, with acceptable specs , and I am thinking of picking that up as I got tired from waiting on GTS
Don't.

Glad it worked out for you. The Cayenne is a bigger car than I need. I had 2 BMW X-5s and 4 Lexus RXs and now 3 Macans. The Macan is the right size for me and does so many things well. I'll get another in a couple of years.

Was at the dealer this week getting a tire fixed and a salesman pulled in next to me to park, to wait for a customer for a test drive in a new Cayenne GTS - Got to say the V8 burble was awesome - we chatted a bit and he rev'd it for me - very nice sound! Enjoy it in good health!

I have been going back and forth on the sunroof myself for my up coming order.
I’m still 50/50 on it.

Although I don't use my sunroof that much, I would spec it again (and did) as part of the Premium Plus Package. It is pretty unobtrusive when you keep the sun shade closed and brings in tons of light + fresh air if you decide to open it up.

Plus the Premium Plus Package is actually a good deal relative to the individual items, all of which I would spec aside from Lane Change Assist (useless). Shocking to call anything related to Porsche options a good deal of course.

I get sunroofs on all my cars although I rarely open them. I live in Alaska with short days in the winter and I like all the light in the cab I can get.

I will also note that the Macan sunroof is designed about as well as any. When it is open, very little air blowing around in the car.
