Default Bose amplifier lead times?

Hi all, my '23 Macan S arrived at my dealer almost three weeks ago and I'm still waiting for the Bose amp. How long has it taken for those who have had to wait? TIA!

This is week 5 for me and still no amp. I also called PCNA to see if I could find out anymore info on when they might arrive for my vehicle and other than apologizing for the situation they had no answers, other than what my dealer has told me. "They ship from Germany, randomly arrive, and are VIN coded to specific vehicles. Yours is either in the box or not, with no way to track individual chips for a specific VIN."

I am in the same situation as Spartan King. My 2022 Macan arrived at my local Northern California dealership on 9/9/22 without a Bose amp. There are 7 other new Macans sitting on the same dealer lot waiting for the same part. I have been texting with the sales associate ever since my Macan's arrival and he is unable to provide an ETA on the Bose amp. Earlier this month, he texted, "I went to the parts department to get an ETA and he said those parts are on back order without ETA. Those parts are VIN specific, they will come in based on the production dates."

That's interesting - I know someone who ordered a Macan at the same dealer I got mine from and he already took delivery despite ordering his after mine. His car didn't seem to be affected, even though he has the Bose system. He got really lucky I suppose!!

Mine has been sitting for 2 months now. Arrived at dealer August 12. Oh and my GTS was also on the ship that sank in February. This is the replacement. Absolutely ridiculous.

That is seriously ridiculous. And unfortunate. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait! I also contacted PCNA, but the individual I spoke to on the phone was not even aware of the Bose shortage. I really hope I won't be waiting for an extended period of time.

I placed my GTS order mid May and picked up the car 3 weeks ago with the Bose system. How do they pick which cars get the chips? Seems like others should have been before me. I guess if they have them when the car is in production, they put it in, hope you guys get them soon. Fun car to drive so I would say it's worth the wait.

Why not ask them to swap with another macan on their lot ? They're not coded to a VIN. It's just an amplifier and four bolts.

I would be surprised if any dealers have unsold Macans sitting on the lot.

Loaners or used , my dealer pulled one from another macan for me. Not VIN specific.

I spoke with my SA yesterday and was told they're VIN-specific when being shipped out

Trust me I’ve asked…my dealer says they have 7 on the lot all without amps.
