Default PDK service

Hey all, I was wondering if someone could help look up the PDK service interval/recommended time. 2017 macan base. Recently moved all my books and cannot find my owners manual.

thanks in advance.

Several dealers have indicated to me that 4-year/40k is the interval for PDK service. Spark plug replacement used to be 4-year/40k according to the original service documents I've seen, but apparently that has changed since all dealers are now doing spark plugs at 3-year/30k.

Thanks for posting -- that is the best and most concise maintenance schedule I've seen. Where did it come from? It would be great if there was a similar document showing prices for other standard services like front/rear brake replacement (since I've found dealer prices to vary a LOT on brake pad/disc replacement).

Did this myself, could not handle the $700 labor charge.
I can give an update if you are interested.

I would not do this myself, especially still being under warranty, but I'm very curious how difficult or easy it is to do and how long it took you from start to finish.

Still under warranty, did entire 40K, receipts kept in folder.
PDK only service was quoted as $1100.

A few challenges:
Transmission temp target essential, need an OBD device that can monitor it.
Total time 2 hours. Knowing the process, I am guessing book time is 1 hour. Probably more for S, GTS or Turbo.

Base 4 cyl Macan is easier. There is an exhaust pipe on V6 models has exhaust on that side, makes closing the fill port difficult due to the heat.
I or so I was told. No issue for me.

Filling process can be..a challenge.I have a mid rise lift, but can be accomplished on jack stands.
Large funnel near front left tire. AWAY from tire, you might have the tire move when you cycle the gears.
A line from it into the fill port. A device to pinch off the line near where it enters the fill port. Just a small clamp is needed. Open and closed the clamp to regulate flow.

Guess what? Temperature monitoring is not critical when changing the pdk fluid. One can just take a laser thermometer and monitor the temp on the outside transmission filter. This is a ventilated transmission and if it is overfilled it will blow out. It will make a mess. Many Audi owners routinely "overfill" by 1/2 to 1quart due to g forces making the trans momentarily running dry at the pickup point. This is not a difficult procedure. Hardest thing is to get the car on 4 Jack stands and level. One can change the fluid for less that $200 themselves and that is with inside and outside filter replacement.

Yep, I agree, not necessary. Does prevent an overfill.
No sure if I agree with it will just blow out as being a good remedy for an overfill, though.

Thats some slippery sxxx!! hitting the road.

Lol that is true! But, to clarify some fluid could blow out if it is only overfilled by a liter or so. This is reported by the Audi folks that were modifying there cars producing so much torque the fluid at stock levels was being push so far back into the transmission on a hard launch that is was exposing the pick up to air. They solved that problem by overfilling and putting a catch can on the transmission.
