So I just recently bought a 2017 Macan GTS with about 44k miles. I looked up a Fidelity Platinum warranty and it was $5,700 with a $500 deductible. I also have a family friend working at a Porsche dealer who offered a Porsche brand warranty for $7,800 with a $250 deductible (said Porsche only has $100 and $250 deductibles). Both are 60 months/60k miles of coverage, and both are refundable on a pro rata share. From people familiar with these, which would you go with? Is the branded warranty worth that much more than Fidelity?

Go Fidelity, the $250 deductible from Fidelity so it is not too far off from what the Porsche dealer is charging for the same terms and coverage. Fidelity has the reputation, and is commonly sold at Porsche dealerships as well, some are even Fidelity policies that are then rebranded by the selling dealer, so I'd be confident in it. I've had a Fidelity Platinum ($250 deduct.). on my last two 911's... Both had work done and both times Fidelity paid without hesitation!!

One of which was over $5k on my current car... Basically they paid out more than I paid for the warranty itself!!

I'm a fan for sure. Bought my last one with Michael Bernardo ^^^^
