Racechip for 22 Macan GTS
So I like my new car but the turbo lag is pathetic, and I would like a bit more power. Anyone have any experience with tuning the 2022 Macan GTS? Anyone know if the Racechip is any good for my car? Thanks for any help

Not sure if anything is out for the 2022s yet. Cobb maybe?
Looks like Racechip is just saying they have the 3.0 engine not the 2.9.
I put a Pedal Commander in my 22 GTS. Night and day difference.

COBB has a tune for a ‘21 Macan Turbo, which should be a similar map for the ‘22 GTS. Give a Sprinbooster/Pedal Box/Pedal Commander try. It’s not so much the turbo lag but has to do with the sluggish gas pedal. It definitely transformed my driving experience.

Agreed. The car has plenty of power you just have to push the pedal down 3/4 of the way down to get it. And the gas pedal has LONG travel so it's unnatural in normal day to day street driving to find the power in the pedal. Night and day w/ a Pedal Commander set on City +1. That's how it should be mapped from the factory.

Can you provide more information on what the Pedal Commander set? Where do you buy it? What does it do?

This is a video visual of the Sprint Booster version so you can see the nonlinear pedal to TB opening issue that causes the lag you feel. The Pedal Commander does the exact same thing, so both devices are quite popular on all types of P cars.

I ordered the pedal commander for my Macan GTS, excited to get it from watching several Youtube videos about how it works.

My 981 was transformed by getting the TB butterfly to operate linear along with the throttle pedal.
My Sprint Booster took out the scary dead spot/lag that occurs on both the 991 and 981 models when trying to pull out quickly from a dead stop, and I've also seen several different Macan discussion threads where they are also reporting the same great results on turbo models. Looking forward to see what you think once you get your PC installed!

I have the PC from my 2017 Macan S - planning to see if it will plug in the same in my 22 Macan GTS. Also have a Race Chip GTS Black that was in the 2017, but others - including RaceChip - have said it will NOT work in the 2.9 TT GTS…. So I’m waiting on a new RC box.

I have the Cobb tune + Flat 6 filter as well as custom Flat 6 tune for my 2015 Macan S and it is a massive improvement over stock. Have a 2023 GTS on order and told myself I wouldn't go down the same path but this thread isn't helping...

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I was going to do it or not, but wanted to do something "simple." I'll probably get the Akra later this year. My wife said "I don't like it that I can't hear you leaving the house." hahaha

Nice! My Macan also has a modded exhaust (similar to the Gundo hack) and there are no issues with anyone in my neighbourhood hearing me leave. It is loud AF. If anything it is too loud but came on the car when I bought it CPO.
