Not there anymore - hoping they add back - my 2022 order got rolled over to 2023 and would like to keep that option!

What's the point? The Macan is already really quiet without it.

+1. This vehicle does NOT need any more sound insulation. The standard glass is more or less perfect.

Or turn the volume up or bring 4 Siberian Huskies along and they can serenade you...

In addition to being quieter, having double-paned glass has a benefit for break-ins. Rather than shattering it just cracks but is held together by the film.

We had a string of car break-ins 2 years ago. While all the other cars had shattered glass all over the interior and things stolen, my wife's Lexus RX was the only car they couldn't get into. Car was driveable, no glass all over the interior, nothing stolen, and could replace at our convenience.

Have the glass option. Got a dime size rock chip in the passenger side. Have done the DIY repair kit successfully couple times on other cars in the past. Hesitant with this one, so putting off and hoping it doesn't spread, because the glass option. Have insurance but deductible $ = almost insurance payment. Except it's the glass option. So leaving it there for now.

I noticed this today too, but my build locked yesterday. Another thing I noticed that seems different in the configuration in the last few days is the image of the front grill does not show a split in the grill in front of the ACC sensor. It also doesn’t show the front camera when you select surround view. I believe it previously showed both. Wonder if Porsche has changed something for ‘23 cars.

They've definitely made some changes for MY23, like making ACC standard. Maybe making ACC standard allowed them to change the grill since there aren't 2 different setups (w and w/o ACC)?

Hoping we get official documentation on MY23 updates. Can see some of it on configurator but will be nice to know all the details.

Not sure why the configurator doesn't show the surround view front camera anymore though. Seems like that would be unrelated to making ACC standard on '23 cars.

Mixed feelings on the thermal glass clearly. When I posted my 2022 GTS build a couple people responded who had owned 2 Macans, one with and one without thermal glass. They both strongly recommended the thermal glass option saying it made a big difference.

I received a notice in my 2022 GTS configuration that the thermally insulated glass option was removed, the price lowered. After reading the above I checked my configuration and the glass option is now back.
