Default Factory Trailer Hitch

Have been looking into getting a 2022 Macan S and when going through the online configurator There is a "Trailer Hitch without tow ball" option that includes a prewired harness for trailer lights but does not say if it is the 4 pin or 7 pin wiring harness. Would love to hear from anyone who has this option or knows more about if it is the 4 pin or 7 pin connector.

I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't find anyone to install the OEM assembly but I have noted that similar year (2017 Macan S) Cayenne uses a seven pin.

I had a hitch put on my 19 S-dealer sent me to a place they used it is a non factory hitch with a 4 pin plug. My Cayenne has the factory setup- it has the 7 pin plug. I'm guessing you get the 7 pin with the factory setup,if your ordering get it,it a nice setup. You will need one of these- https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Wir...ady/20142.html

You'll also need a 7 pin to 4 or 5 flat adapter to plug into that.

This is no longer needed as the newer vehicles are LED lights compatible so the resistor problem is no longer an issue. Macan's with the factory hitch come with a 7 pin connector. This is what you'll need: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Wir...17511751175596 and a 7 to 4 pin connector from Wal Mart

Agree with the above... I recently installed the factory harness/controller to go with my hitch and haven't had any issues with my LED trailer.

I can confirm the above as well. 7 pin to 4 or 5 pin adapter is all you need once the 7 pin is installed. Bought my adapter on Amazon for $8.95
