Default Front Armrest Slides Too Easily

Who has a hack to keep the center armrest from sliding back and forth so easily? Don’t want my coffee decapitated again.

I keep a set of handcuffs in the cupholder oriented front to back in the passenger cup holder so the lid doesn't slide forward.
I'm single and searching...

Ha ha. Depending on the female, when they see the cuffs you may stay that way. Pro tip: Better not have any duct tape showing.

I need to come up with something better than what I'm currently using (big tumbler with lid/straw) as I use it for water in the summer but its empty now.
Velcro in between the sliding parts?

Reviving this post as I’m having the same issue with my armrest sliding forward during heavier braking or cornering. If anyone found a workable solution I’d love to hear it. I really don’t even care if it slides forward as I typically use the cup holders so I’m thinking I’ll dig in and see if I can just anchor in place either permanently or make it much stiffer to slide.

I just checked that out, today, at my local Porsche Dealership. Evidently, the new 2025 models don't have that problem.

I've owned my '22 Macan GTS for two years and have just learned now that the arm rest slides forward. Obviously, it's never done so on its own.

I second that. I didn't know that you could slide the arm rest forward and backward. I haven't seen this on any other car.

I always keep mine in the extended position and it should have a lock position for both IMO. My issue with is that it moves BACK too easily and I keep having to move it back to the extended position.
