In the 2019 base, there is one in front of the console and one in the rear hatch, hence weird that they'd change the location in the 2022 model (maybe because 12V outlets have been replaced by USB ports by and large).
How weird that a compressor is no long supplied standard?! That said the 12V model that came with the 2019 blew the fuse and I had to get a replacement that had battery clips.

Ditto, I looked all over, and never would have guessed to pry up that rubber cover.
I have a long-term 2023 Macan S loaner, and in the frigidly, cold-weather, I thought it would be prudent to put a CTEK on it just in case. It is a hot 12V port (not switched with ignition) so works perfectly well for a battery maintainer plug-in.

Yeah...make sure you research that a bit. As I recall, the outlet remains hot for 15 minutes or so then shuts down it it is not being used. Which means, if there is a power failure while you are using the charger, the system will not turn the 12v back into hot mode. FWIW...

Sounds good. As a test, if you really wanted to do this, you could unplug the charger at the wall for 15 minutes or so to simulate a power failure, then plug it back in to see if the 12V outlet picks up again. I have my Ctek charge thru the jumper posts so it's not an issue either way. I occasionally travel for a few weeks at a time and live in the mountains where power outages are not uncommon. But, whatever works for you!
