Used GTS or new S?
Looking for some suggestions here. I found a very nice 2020 GTS for sale, 17k miles with original sticker of $96k. I can get the car for $77k.
Or I was thinking why not just order a new S for around the same price, $80k and have essentially the same car?
Am I missing something here? I haven’t driven either car so I don’t know if there’s much of a difference. From what I understand is that the new S has the same 2.9 that the last gen GTS had.

Suspension tuning is different from my understanding. Firmer and lowered 10 mm in the GTS (at least 2022 model year). Also, newer Macan has a different center console if you prefer that or not. Allocations for 2022s are also not easy to get even for an S.

I had the same debate as I needed a car as my DD got flooded out during Ida. Looking at the depleted used car market, I had sticker shock at the prices. Plus availability was scarce. It was a no brainer for me - pay high prices for a used car with all its question marks or pay a few thousand more with new technology and really no question marks. The only bad thing is the wait and allocation. We were able to borrow a car, so it was not so bad. It took 10 weeks to get the car. Buying new was the right decision for me.

Thanks. I was thinking I’m getting the GTS for $20k less than sticker so it must be better than a new S? But I’m not so sure about that.
I’m not in a huge rush for a car anyways, I was going to jump on this GTS since it’s available now and has pretty good options. But I might just go ahead and order an S.

Have you thought about a stripper 2022 GTS for about the same price?
