Default Automatic Emergency Braking?

Does any Macan trim level or option get you Automatic Emergency Braking (even if the cruise control is off)?
This is usually a feature of VAG Adaptive Cruise, but I see no description of automatic braking in the description of this option.

As I understand it, you need ACC, which includes Porsche Active Safe. This option can be turned on to work independently of Cruise Control being enabled.

I had a 2017 base Macan. Several comfort features, plus Lane Keep Assist and Lane Change Assist. No ACC.

If I were ordering a new GTS, I might option it. But many Macans are purchased off the lot from dealer inventory and it doesn't seem to be an option they check.

I ordered mine and specifically didn't spec it because I didn't think I'd use ACC. I had it on my last car (a '17 Q7) and didn't ever really use it, and didn't like the auto emergency braking feature TBH.

LOVE the ACC... I have it set for about 5 car lengths....works great in keeping your distance ...but....unfortunately there are too many A/H's who see that as an opportunity to cut in front of you on the highway

I haven't used it in Porsche but love the idea of ACC. I have it in my Jeep Gladiator and your comment above is why I don't even bother using it. Because when someone takes that place you have gapped the Jeep hits the brakes to create a new gap. And all that does is screw up traffic behind me. Porsche system might be smart enough to slowly adjust speed and keep traffic flowing to create the 5 car space again, but the Jeep just rolls on the brakes running 70.

ACC is now standard. It was crazy expensive, like all P-options.

I believe low speed "collision avoidance" at 5 mph and below is Federally mandated, but the higher speed highway versions are still options. In my 22 GTS its there but at least I can turn it off.

I have ACC. 2015 Macan S. 90K miles. Very slight deer hit to the direct front. Need new hood, grill, louvers and some parts behind the grill. Lights, fenders and bumper are all good. My car is going to end up totalled because of the replacement cost of the ACC. It's something like $4,500. The car was in beautiful shape.
The collision shop won't even test the old ACC until the car is 100% back together, which won't happen because it's being totalled. They also refuse to fix it without replacing the ACC.

Those fish and game departments that support the deer population ought to be partially responsible for your loss.

In my parts of the world the fish and game departments are actively recruiting hunters to thin the deer. Not sure if there is anywhere where the reverse is happening.

Mine activated for no reason a couple days ago in light rain. Not the first time it’s happened. Brake checked the guy behind me unintentionally. Thinking about turning it off but I like it on just in case.
