Default "Fault" Message

Yesterday I got a message on the dash
OIL MEASUREMENT FAULT ENGINE CONTROL FAULT
BOTH SAY CONSULT A WORKSHOP and DRIVING PERMITTED
2019 Macan S 19,000 miles.....This is the FIRST of any kind of service announcements or faults in the 2 1/2 years I've had the car

Don't panic. Without reading the actual code who knows what the issue is but it could just be a bad sensor.

If you haven't had any weird issues with the vehicle prior to the message that would be best. For example, my Macan was exhibiting failing Transfer Case long prior to the 4X4 fault that popped up in the dash. Same with the transmission in my 535, obvious signs of trouble before the dreaded orange triangle reared it's ugly head.

It sounds like the oil level sensor that bolts into the bottom of the oil pan.

Several weeks ago, I had "Engine control fault..." appear. Went to the dealer to read code. After plugging in their computer, the Tech said it was a generic code and without throwing more specific codes it was probably just a glitch. He deleted the message on the instrument, and all's been good so far.
