Default Macan Turbo w/ Perfomance Package Worth It?

Hello everyone! I would like some opinions on a Macan Turbo I’m looking at. I’m currently in a ‘17 Macan GTS, but I found a phenomenally optioned Macan Turbo with Performance Package. It’s got 21” 911 wheels, PASM, adaptive cruise control, carbon fiber interior, PDLS, full leather, etc. I’m newer to Porsche SUVs, so I’m looking for input.

1. The Turbo was originally $116k and has virtually every option you can think of, which is really cool. It listed at $69k with 34k miles - does this seem like a good deal? I had it inspected and it’s perfectly fine.
2. I’m in a GTS right now, and I love the drive a lot. It’s black with black and garnet red interior, has the sports chrono package, and is well optioned. I hear Macan Turbos can be less “sporty” than the GTS - would this car feel as sporty?
3. The Turbo is black on black, which I don’t love (black exterior is fine, black interior isn’t my top choice), but these cars are few and far between. Would I be a fool to pass this up just because I’m not in love with the color combo?
4. Will this car hold it’s value well? I want to make sure my next purchase is a smart investment.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Black is the best color for an interior over the long term. Easiest to keep looking good. Others may look better the first few years or even 5-7 years if you are OCD about detailing and don’t drive much or use the car fully, but start to show their age and wear much more visually after that.

Appreciate the feedback - I wouldn't have thought of this, but it makes total sense.

The Macan Turbo w/PP is essentially a ‘GTS-ed’ version of the Turbo model, with additional power. If you like the driving dynamics of your GTS, you’ll like the Turbo PP as well. The Turbo PP is also a rather unique model. Let’s put it this way, as much as you love your GTS, if you moved to the Turbo PP I doubt you’d have any regrets.

I had a hunch, but being unable to drive it, I wasn’t positive that’d be the case. Thanks for the input!

I haven't driven a GTS but the GTS sits a bit lower than all the other Macan models and has a different suspension tune from what I understand. So the Turbo might not handle quite the same. Personally I think the GTS will hold value better than the Turbo, you can probably do some research on used car prices to see if that has historically been the case.
The power of the Turbo is nice but honestly I personally would rather have a GTS. But when I bought mine in 2018, I found a used Turbo in my price range and the GTS was way out of my range.
The GTS also has different color headlight and taillight trim.

Check the macanforum - there's a forum member over there who owns both - and likes both of them. The GTS and Turbo are different vehicles.

You can buy a module and lower the Turbo so it sits at the same height as the GTS. The Turbo's engine has gobs of low end torque - unlike the GTS.

As for head/tail lights, one could option the black units on the Turbo. Maybe the PP model already has the darker lights?

AFAIK, the PP has 40 more HP than the regular Turbo - as if 400 HP isn't enough...

Just as with the 911 line, a GTS model is a factory "model" offering with a package of options that if purchased separately, would cost more.

No need to buy a module, I bought the air suspension links for $100 which you can install and also lower the vehicle. However my understanding is that there are some tuning parameters for the suspension which are different on the GTS and this just isn't something you can add to the other models. I could be mistaken. But if it matters enough it would be something to look into further before making a final decision.

If I recall correctly, the performance package on the Turbo includes the same suspension options standard as the GTS (i.e the lowered stance and air suspension is not standard on the "normal" Macan Turbo, but comes with the PP).

I used to own an '18 Macan Turbo/PP and that engine is quite a step up from the S/GTS engine.

Can't get over the depreciation hit the former owner took. Likely over $50k on a car that's been driven only 34k and is just a few years old. A good example of what to expect when you load just about every available option on a new Macan purchase.
