Default Great Macan GTS write up

After owning both 08 & 13 Cayenne GTS's, I waiting patiently for the new Cayenne GTS but after one test drive I decided on my first Macan and the GTS version is just badass. I agree with this write up.

I am curious to know why you chose a Macan GTS over a V8 Cayenne GTS.

We just purchased a 2021 Macan GTS for my wife after driving a Lexus RX-350 for a long time. She wanted something smaller than the RX, She sits almost vertically (almost 90° to the floor) and needed the seats to have many adjustments such as seatbelts to be fully adjustable up and down (you'll be surprised how many luxury cars don't offer it any more) a headrest that doesn't lean 20° forward when the seat back is upright, minimal to no lumbar and a comfortable seat with good visibility. While she also liked the Macan S with its 14 way seat, the Macan GTS with its 18 way seat was by far the most comfortable seat she sat in from a large group of medium luxury sedans and small to midsize luxury SUVs she drove. Add to that excellent power that provides effortless acceleration, a well executed car with excellent fit and finish, and she was sold. It's our first Porche, and despite the price point being higher than everything else she drove, she loves the car and believes it was the right choice for her. (Ours stickered at $85K) We got to drive it approximately 400 miles last weekend to the ocean, over the mountains where it snowed, down the other side to the desert, and back home. (L.A., to San Diego, over to Julian, down to the Salten sea and back). Although I personally prefer larger roomier cars myself, not once was I uncomfortable. It handled all those driving duties with ease and was a real pleasure to drive. Great choice! You won't be disappointed.

Just the sweet spot for me, small, tight and sounds fantastic! Best daily driver for me. I felt the the new Cayenne GTS is just bulky and massive.

I took deliver of a '21 Macan GTS on Saturday. Sunday I drove from Annapolis to the Lincoln Tunnel, across Manhattan to Glen Cove NY on Long Island. Returned the next day. More carlike and way sportier than my '20 Macan S that I sold. Much better value as well.
