Default 4-5 month storage procedures

If planning on storing a Macan in a garage for 4-5 months or so, one thing that's clear is getting a battery tender. What about tires? In the past at least, leaving tires under load for a logn time led to flat spots and basically ruined them. Should the vehicle be put on jack stands at least so the tires are not bearing any load? What else should be taken into consideration?

No need for jack stands. Just pump up the tires to full load settings.

Add fuel stabilizer, top up the tank and run for five to ten minutes to get it to the injectors.

At least on 911's, Porsche recommends against storing on jack stands as leaving the suspension with no weight on it is not good.

Battery tender. Quality fuel. Stabilizer. Overinflate tires to 50PSI, or the max, if you would like. That's all you need to do. Storing a car for 6 months is something I do every winter.

Put a few of these mouse bait stations in the garage. That way, if there is a mouse problem, they won't chew the wires. They eat the bait and die.

Appreciate the responses, folks! Seems that tires are more stable than they used to be. Great tip to run the engine for a while for the sake of the injectors. The benefits of adding something to the gasoline, is that to avoid gumming -- that's what you mean by a fuel stabilizer, something like this?:

BTW, I use a chemical rodent repellent as sometimes even if parked outside, we have rodent issues. Had problems with previous vehicles, bit never since I have been using this stuff:

Great idea on the mouse bait - my only suggestion is put it in the garage but not near the car... you don't want to draw them towards your car. In addition to food, they are looking for a nice warm place to make a nest all winter; and then while they are there in their new nest, they eat wire insulation.

When I had my Boxster S, I didn't use it in the winter. Bought a CTEK MUS 4.3 for <$100 (much less than the Porsche Tequipment unit - made by CTEK by the way) and it would trickle charge as needed to keep the battery strong. Remember to fill up your tank with gas and add the appropriate amount of Stabil to keep the gas fresh. I also put cups of moth ***** (naphtha) around the car to keep mice away. Worked fine. Good luck!

Yep. Stabil will work.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, mothballs are nasty and unhealthy; the anti-rodent spray I mentioned above works great outdoors, as well as in the garage. I have gone a couple of years now with no issues after having had multiple rodent-related incidents before I started using this repellent. I agree on CTEK as a great trickle charger option! Is this the one you use?:

Actually gave it to the guy who bought my 2016 Boxster S in 2018. Still have a Porsche charger, but anticipate using the Macan year round. But did se that CTEK charger when I had the 981S. Great unit. Efficient and recommend it.

I over inflate the tires, battery tender, full tank a premium fuel, fuel stabilizer, clean the car, and soft dust cover
Almost all the time.
But some years, I forget, or mean too and never get back to the car. 32 psi, no tender, 1/2 tank of fuel
It always starts, no matter what I do. Carefully, or forgetfully.

Oh look, something shinny .....
