Baselining Maintenance on 2017-18 CPO GTS
When I purchased my 09 911S Cab a few years ago (not a CPO), I "baselined" all of the maintenance on the car by having my indy change all fluids including oil, manual transmission, diff, brake, power steering, coolant (including overflow tank) etc. so I knew the age and condition of the fluids at the start of my ownership.
For a 17-18 Macan GTS, would you do the same? Is there anything else you would do? I would assume if I want to baseline that it would be oil, PDK, transfer case, diff, brake, coolant, power steering.
Thoughts?
Thanks ahead of time for your useful feedback.

I bought a CPO 2017 S with 17k miles three months ago. Dealer included a 20k service, new front brakes, brake fluid and four new tires. I just DIYed spark plugs last week for $53. I'll still be under warranty next year when PDK service is due, so will pay the dealership for that. As for the other fluids a dealership will tell you they're not due. Having the dealership do them for cost or at your indy would be good. Next oil change get a sample and send off for analysis.

My two cents.... if you’re buying one with about 35k, it should have had the 30k mile service done already whether it’s a ‘17 or ‘18 model (spark plug replacement is the main part of it). If not, I would certainly negotiate that into the deal.
As for the 40k major service, the main part of that one is the PDK service. The 40k mile service is to be done at 40k miles OR 4 years, whichever comes first. So for a ‘17 with 35k miles, you haven’t reached the mileage threshold yet, but it may have been in service for more than 4 years already (many ‘17s entered service in ‘16). Therefore on most ‘17s, I’d also negotiate that one into the deal as well.....both the 30k and 40k mile services.
For an ‘18 Macan, it’s not likely it will have reached the 40k/4 yr threshold yet, but close enough on the mileage that you still may want to make that part of your deal.
As has been said, if purchasing from a P dealer, definitely request all service records. Any dealer worth it’s salt will provide them. And even if you don’t buy from an authorized dealer, you can see the selling dealer from the Carfax report and contact them to see if they can provide any records.
Best of luck in your quest.
