Cool New to forum and Porsche

Hello Porsche folks:

I just put a deposit down yesterday on a 2015 Macan Turbo, after a beautiful Denver, CO test drive. It should be shipped within a few days. 43k mileage from some guy in NH. In all honesty, I've never even ridden in a Porsche, must less own one. Once I got buckled in, adjusted, it felt great! The power is obvious, but the handling! It has the adjustable air suspension. There's a bunch-o-buttons that I'm gonna enjoy figuring out.
What am I trading in? A Subaru Crosstrek. Yep, the sad younger sibling to everything Subaru is the runt weakling of the family. Absolutely horrendous in the power/cvt arena. Never again. They even gave me too much for the trade - not complaining here - but still too much.
The Macan is roughly similar to size as the Crosstrek and I'll have my 50# dog in the rear folded down seat area. At altitude now: 158HP v 400HP? Holy $#!+

My other toy: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette C7 (Z51). That's been fun to modify to almost 1000HP. I do plan on visiting our local twin-turbo experts and see what they can do with this bad boy though.

Excellent! From one former Vette guy (owned 3 Z06s) to another, welcome to Porsche and Rennlist! Post up some pics of your Macan Turbo when you get some time.

Ha, my daily was a 2016 CrossTrek and I traded up to a 2017 Macan S. The Macan makes my commute to work so much nicer.

the Subaru was cheap, reliable, safe, cheap to maintain but it was so boring.

I also got a lot more for my trade value on the Subaru than I was expecting.

I’m currently looking for a clean low mileage 2018 Macan Turbo to upgrade too.

Enjoy your new Turbo in good health and post some pics.

Welcome to the Turbo family. Enjoy exploring its qualities. I also have an 18 TT w/AS. Love its handling. The first set of tires you get? Get yourself and alignment at the same time. Mine was out from the factory... It's a whole new driver now.

Thanks y'all! I was a bit worried I might be snubbed for owning a Corvette. If it helps - I was born in Germany -- ?

1: I'll never recommend a budget Subaru - ever. I swore if it ever left me stranded it was going away. It did on both account. F^k@8bS
2: Umm, there's more stuff on this Porsche than I'll ever use (I think). It drove by itself. <---WTF?!
3: As much as I love my Corvette, its not my daily and has been regulated to the "stuff that came of of the Subaru that I don't know what to do with".
4: I picked up my buddy who has a 2018 Mercedes AMG C43. He'd been beating me up for owning that Subaru. We found Launch Control - That is one violent bit of launch!
5: The whole package is solid. Even the doors. Solid. Comparing it to the Crosstrek is a crime, so I'll stop.

I gotta put that stuff somewhere! XD

Gotta visit my detailer for PPF, tint and break up the uber-whiteness
