the 4 ports in the vehicle are smaller than the ports in my 991.2 and therefore cannot be used with my thumb drive or my Samsung phone the charging plug for the phone appears to be the same in physical size but will not fit into the usb I assume that I will need some sort of adapter can anyone out there straighten me out in this Thanks
New iPads use USB-C, and the supplied cable has the same connector at both ends so it matters not which end you grab and which way you plug it in.
Wait, that doesn't sound like an improvement. I throughly enjoy plugging in my traditional USB only to find I have installed it the wrong way. Then I reverse it and it still doesn't go in. Then I reverse it back to the original and it plugs in easily.
Don't take that satisfaction and joy from me knowing I prove the law of odds wrong every time I try. I must be very special.
Are there still 12-volt plugs in the 2020 models? If so, you can buy an adaptor that plugs into the 12-volt plug that has two standard USB ports -- I have that in my car because I don't want to open the armrest to get at the USB ports there. (Attached is a photo showing the adaptor in my 2018 Panamera, which came with the smoking package by accident.)
