I also have a BMW 335i in my garage in addition to my 2000 C4 Cab.
Cobb tune (supposedly upped hp to 390), Mishimoto intercooler, a complete M3 front sway & control arms, M3 engine compartment brace, Koni yellows up front/Koni FSDs rear, M193 wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and Akebono ceramic brake pads on slotted rotors.
I love them both.
i love both of them also. I’m going to miss the M. It’s a great car, but my wife can’t drive stick and I don’t have time to give it more love. If you know someone looking for an E90 M3, send them my way, as I’m taking delivery of my Macan GTS on saturday... I’m currently in Stuttgart, bought the car over the phone and pick it up saturday morning. Pretty cool that i got to buy my second Porsche while visiting Porsche.
This is interesting. I'm considering a 2020 Macan S (or GTS, when they arrive). I've driven the Macan S with steel springs and on our rotten roads and with 20 or 21" wheels, I find the ride a bit harsh. I did drive a base Cayenne with 19" wheels and found it a bit floaty in comfort mode. What do you like/dislike about the air suspension on the Macan and how would you describe the ride in normal (comfort) mode? I'd test drive one, but I can't find any on dealer lots close to me (Canada) Thanks.
The air suspension air compressor on my brand new 2018 GTS failed within it's first 4000 miles of life. You'll know right away if it's acting up by it making awful grinding sounds and tilting the car in angles it should not be in after parking. It was replaced under warranty and been fine since now with 18000 miles. I still would not have a Macan without air suspension.

Guess the new GTS doesn't have air suspension as std equipment as the old one did... saw a roadtest of one and it didn't have air just PASM. Probably another way to generate more $$$ profit. If you configure one you'll need to be careful not to miss it.

I looked at the US configurator and didn’t see air suspension as an option. I maybe wrong but from what I’ve read air suspension is included as standard equipment in certain markets.

Yes, this is correct. I have a GTS on order and the air suspension is standard.
Perfect, thanks! I’m looking to get a 2018, so I should have peace of mind through warranty coverage.
Hi Wayne!! I'm looking at either a Macan S or GTS as well. Was at the Philly Auto Show yesterday, and was told by a Porsche rep that the 2021 Macan will have a significant makeover. He couldn't be more specific - unclear if the engine, body, interior will change. I think getting a lightly used S or GTS is the way to go. I'm going to start the hunt in the next 6 months, even though no issues with the X3 3.5i. Hope all is well with you!

Phil! I feel terrible, you have been on my to-do list to email since the holidays and I’ve been slammed.
I was at Porsche yesterday... had a meeting with them and they were nice enough to show me one of their warehouse collections... man, I was in heaven! I got to sit in some really cool cars!
I’m in transit home from Germany. I’ll vet home around 8.30pm, then have to get the M3 detailed and ready to trade in tomorrow morning... I’ll be driving up to long island first thing in the morning to pick up the GTS. I can’t wait, although I’m now reminded at how much I hate car buying.... total PITA! Although i now have the cool story of buying a Porsche while visiting Porsche in Stuttgart.

I’m pretty sure I read earlier in the week that the GTS was getting a slight horsepower bump in 2021... 15hp I think.

Wayne, I really find buying (and selling) cars a PITA as well. Great that you went to Porsche in Stuttgart, and got to see their warehouse. I want to hear all about the '18 GTS you bought, as I'm seriously going to look at a very low mileage Macan as my next car. There is a lot to like with the GTS vs the base or even an S. When you get back home to PA and settled in, email or call me and let's schedule lunch when you have time. I'll look forward to seeing you. Safe travels home!

The review I saw of a new GTS was a European model. It must be that in the United States all GTS have Air suspension where as in Europe and other markets it is optional. That is good for us.
Very nice. I went to our local dealer on Saturday to purchase a Macan GTS identical to this one. When I got there, the new owner was getting in and driving away. Doh.

That sucks. A well optioned GTS at the right price will move quickly.
I'm impressed with the options list in mine. The first owner spent way more on options than I would. I'm glad I got the benefit of his lack of restraint.
