Sun Coast Parts (could be) expanding their shipping policy
Please find below a mail I received after discussing with Sun Coast Parts that FedEx or UPS is a rip off to Alaska (and Hawaii). I'm sure shipping costs are a big decision factor wherever you live with for example, "if it fits it ships", being a timely and reasonable alternative. For those of us in the Interior of Alaska we have for years looked to folks providing USPS shipping for non emergency items and avoided businesses that ship via FedEx and UPS only.
I'm simply sharing a "potential" new policy from what seems to be a popular parts supplier and not launching a debate as to who lost what from the Post Office.

I know the last couple times we spoke you were concerned with shipping VIA USPS. I have tentatively great news. In the near future we are going to start expanding the usage of USPS, and I have brought up your argument in particular. When these changes are implemented I will be in contact with you again. I hope you are doing well, and that the Porsche is close to being delivered.

That would be great. We lived in Hawaii fo three years and shipping was expensive. Pelican also didn't honor the free shipping to Hawaii.

I did mention Hawaii (with Alaska) to Sun Coast Parts as we're originally from there.
If you normally buy from Pelican (or other Porsche supplier) forward that mail. If they find they're losing business because of their shipping policy they might change as well.
