My 2019 Macan sometimes omits the first second or so of the NAV audio message. This only seems to occur with the radio off, but not in all cases. I have a custom audio system with MOST activated, As a start to troubleshooting, it would help to know if anyone else has experienced this problem with a stock audio system.
Also, if you have a moment and don't mind running an experiment, please try this: turn off your radio and then set the NAV message volume. It will play a message to let you hear the selected volume. In my Macan this test always also turns on the radio, which I find strange. Thanks.

Never mind, I discovered that my custom audio system was configured with the amplifier power save mode enabled. That's something you'd never notice for music, but would for NAV, where the effect is loss of the beginning of messages whenever the amp had been idle.
