IOS 13 Music Issues
Just wanted to give you a heads up on IOS 13.1.2 and my 2017 Macan S with PCM with hardware version 051.
I updated my software on my iPhone to IOS 13 and now I cannot skip to the next track with the “ scroll wheel “ on the steering wheel. I can scroll through the song selections but when I click on the wheel to select a song nothing happens.
I can scroll through the songs on the PCM and select different tracks there so it just seems that the “ scroll wheel “ on the multifunction steering wheel is now inoperable for music selection. None of the other functions when using the scroll reel are affected.
I plugged in an old iPhone with IOS 12 and the scroll wheel works for advancing / selecting tracks from my playlist.
As a side note i cannot advance / select different tracks from my playlist on my 2016 Cayman GTS.
I stopped by the dealer and they confirmed that it’s an iPhone IOS 13 issue.

I found a quick solution. I had an older iPod touch laying around and plugged it in and everything is back to normal.
IPod touches that are generation 6 and older use iOS 12 and can’t be updated to iOS 13.
So iOS 13 is definitely the issue.

Not surprised to hear it. My iPhone has been incredibly irritating - it plays music whenever it connects over Bluetooth. And whenever a phone call completes. Drives me nuts. I recently found another option and subsequently uninstalled all the music apps on my iPhone:

Update: I installed IOS 13.2 on my iPhone 11 and I can scroll through my playlists and select the songs I want using Bluetooth as well when I’m plugged into the USB port.
So IOS 13.2 seems to have cured the issue on my CGTS as well is in my Macan.
