I have ACC in our new 19’ Macan. Does ACC need to be turned on in order for Warn and Break Assist to work? Or is it always on whether or not I have ACC on? Thanks.
From Porsche Adaptive Cruise Control:
“Radar based technology that monitors and automatically regulates the distance from the vehicle in front as required even down to a halt by means of the stop-and-go function (usable at 19+ mph). Also included is Warn and brake assist, which features: audible warning if too close to object ahead; warning by active jolt of the brakes; strategic braking; visual and audible warning if pedestrians or vehicles are detected within collision range.”

You have to turn these on via a menu option in the Settings menu on PAS (Porsche Active Safe). They will work regardless of whether cruise control (ACC) is engaged.

In my CTT you had to enable ACC/PAS via menu settings. I’m assuming it’s the same for the Macan (and other Porsche models).
Then the emergency brake assist would operate regardless of whether you were actively using ACC or not.
