I have not tried this product but I am considering it... looks interesting! I note that the website says it fits up through the 2021 Macan...you might ask them if they are doing a 2022 version.

I currently use the Rennline holder which has its own, non-Apple MagSafe charger (sold separately), and it hides the climate controls for the passenger, but they can just remove it to access the temp and fan controls. The magnet seems a bit weaker than the Apple brand MagSafe charger, but it stays in place all the same.

Both of these solutions are just for charging. If your Macan's PCM supports wireless CarPlay, it will work just as if it was not charging (e.g. in your pocket). If you need wired CarPlay, then you still need a cable to connect to the USB port in the console, in which case for the Rennline the MagSafe charger option would be redundant...all you need is their magnetic, non-charging holder.

I have an Apple leather case on my iPhone 13 Pro, and it is specifically spec'd to allow charging through the case, which I do daily. The thickness of the case does reduce the strength of the magnetic attraction (Coulombs's law if you want the physics of it), but it has never fallen off in my experience.

Hi everyone I usually hang in the Cayenne forum- as I've had an e-hybrid on order since Feb. But we're going to order an S Macan for my better half. When sitting in the car yesterday at a dealer- he was wondering where you put your cell phone. That little notch below the gear selector isn't wide enough (dealers car had lighter and ash tray we wouldn't need though).
It looks like if you plugged in a usb- you'd need to close the center console on the cord and put the phone in the cup holder.
Anyway can you guys tell me
1. if you DON'T order a smokers kit- is there a better place to put a cell phone, and
2. how do you guys with a '19 or '20 plug in / place your phone.

Smokers' Package - $60 bucks for an ashtray with a flip lid the slides into one of the cupholders. Sorry I wasted the $.

The cd door come down, glue two little viynil drops in line with the Oem stops on the lid then place you phone on it and it fits ok! At least on those before the larger screen was in place it does.
