I'd have a third concern: Do I want to pay how much for a PORSCHE vehicle that comes with an AUDI engine in it?

 

You don't need to, You can buy an Audi and convince yourself its the same thing.

 

If someone's really concerned with this, I suggest they just go take a look at the Audi SQ5. Not a bad choice, and it's the same Audi 3.0 in an AUDI vehicle, and less $$ overall than a comparable Macan.

Either that or look for a nice pre-2019 CPO Macan V6.

 

Really like the chalk color. Saw it in the showroom. Very nice.

 

I believe Porsche designs the block for the Audi compression is different.

In all seriousness, I'd suggest dropping the elitist act. If you really want the perception you're buying a "real" Porsche, you wouldn't be buying a Macan in the first place. Good luck convincing the air-cooled 911 guys at a cars and coffee that you have a "real" Porsche and all those clowns in the '19+ Macans are posing in their glorified Audis.

If you want to twist context even further, all modern Porsches are literally VolksWagens. Change my mind.
