No oil info available reading
Hello, 2018 Macan S.......just finished an oil change and Im getting “No oil level info available”. I’ve driven it over 20 miles, let it idle......nothing. I put 7 1/2 quarts in and wont put anymore in till I get a reading. Any suggestions on how to get a reading?

Doesn't the vehicle need to be driven around for 10 or 15 minutes in order to complete some sort of
drive cycle as well as reach normal operating temperature?

Temperature has nothing to do with it. You can check the oil level with a stone-cold engine. Just turn the ignition on but don't start. Then check the level. PSEE is correct. Don't open the hood or you'll need to drive the vehicle for at least 6 miles or more before it can be checked again. When all else fails, read the owner's manual. If it still doesn't respond, then a trip to the dealer is in order.
