So it's gotten to the point these cars are getting older and out of warranty and DIYs are starting to pop up

A search of the internet and we can now
Change our oil
Change air filters
Change front and rear brake pads
Change brake fluid
Change cabin filter
Change transmission oil and filter

Still looking for front and rear diff and AWD controller fluid changes but it seems no one has reached that mileage yet.

Also belt and tensioner swap.

But even if you DIY, wouldn't the car keeps telling you to do them? How do you reset the computer of the car?

Foxwell NT510 resets the lights
Also tells you the trans temp for changing the PDK fluid

If you figure by 100,000 miles in 5 years
10 oil changes at $300 = $3000
2 PDK changes at $650 = $1300
3 spark plug changes at $600 = $1800
2 brake flushes at $200 = $400
2 sets of front brakes at $1200 = $2400
1 set of rear brakes at $1000 = $1000
2 air filter changes at $200 = $400

There is at least $9000 in routine maint. Can probably save 2/3 of that with DIY

Wow, now that I did that these cars are expensive, since we will be at 100,000 miles in less than 3 years. Heck that could pay for my lift

Belt and tensioner? Assuming you mean the drive belt? Actually I haven't seen a recommended change interval for this. Why is that? The maintenance checklist says:

Check drive belt (only if vehicle is used for off-road driving)
So if the vehicle is not used for off-road driving it never has to be replaced?

Replace only if used for off roading
Otherwise inspect and replace when worn
I am planning on replacement at 100,000 miles

Inspection is a pain. Can only do it from the bottom. But it looks like the fans have to come out to replace it.

Here's a thread on the serpentine belt change: https://www.macanforum.com/forum/eng...ne-belt-3.html One intrepid soul did it and it's a major job!

Inspecting from the bottom isn't that big of a deal while doing an oil change right? Can just take a look while the bottom cover is off?

Correct. I just got through doing another oil change and can attest that you can easily inspect the condition of the belt looking from below. It will be obvious that the belt cannot be changed without removing a bunch of stuff!
