I found an out of state CPO Macan with an in-service date of 10/17 so I've got over 3 years of factory warranty left. I don't see keeping this vehicle 5 years so considering having the dealership drop the CPO off. Is that worth at least a $2,500 discount? Less? More?
Thank you

Check if they will even drop the CPO - a lot of times they have paid for the service to CPO the car already at the dealership. IMO - not worth it on that type of car.

Yes, they suggested it when I asked for a discount. Maybe they advertised it as CPO before completing the process? Who knows. Anyway, I negotiated $3,000 off to not have it CPO'd.

$3000 is about right. Typically a dealer will designate a vehicle as CPO following an inspection, but then won’t perform the actual CPO work needed until after a contract is signed. That way they can just drop the CPO if a customer doesn’t want it and prefers a discount.
