Default Macan Turbo Radar Detector & Laser Jammer System

Just finished up on this project a few weeks ago and figured I'd share the finished photos here. We installed an Escort MAX CI Platform for front and rear radar detection along with a laser jamming setup from Anti-Laser Priority(ALP). The goal was to seamlessly integrate both the interior and exterior components so that they cosmetically blend with the original design without sacrificing performance or usability. For the exterior, we custom-built a a set of IR-Transparent lenses that fit into the lower portion of the grille to hide the three front jammers. Provisions for the parking sensors were made to make sure we didn't block the signal.

On the rear we deployed a similar strategy by fabricating a mount the extends from the license plate backing and suspends a "housing" on each side of the plate provision in the bumper. The part was contoured to match the body lines of the bumper and keep the jammers tucked as close to the body as possible.

Lastly, the interior integration involved two unique elements. The first was the control surfaces. Like usual, the Smoker's Package proved to be a good "hidden" location for both of the controllers. We fabricate an insert panel that fills the space perfectly and flush-mounts the controllers for a clean, well-integrated look. Because we want to have the ash tray door closed most of the time, we also spent a good deal of time converting one of the blank panels in the console over to usable button for our radar MUTE function – the most commonly used function of the system.

The second piece was the OLED display for the Escort MAX system. We ended up utilizing the space above the mirror where the passenger airbag light was. This allowed us to build an acrylic window to conceal the display and make it look like a built-in part from the factory.

That's it — Thanks for checking it out!

Super nice setup and congrats. I have an awesome electronics guy in McLean, VA who put an ALP/Escort hybrid system in my cars plus the No Photo. Macan gets it next week. The ALP is phenomenal
