Since its AWD not sure why you have chains on the rear tires only. I'm 145 odd miles from the arctic circle and I've never had to use chains on my 2020 Macan S or Touareg or 992 with Nokian studded tires. Just wondering

Chains on the rear only is the proper fitment. Not everyone needs hard core winter tires. Besides, studded tires are not looked upon favorably in the lower 48.

i was afraid it would not fit back in the trunk slot but it it does barely fit. i doubt the excursion of this sub is significant enough to extend beyond that thick lip so i'm not worried about the surround hitting the back of the trunk wall.
as for the amp, i have it hooked up to a Rockford Fosgate Power T750X1BD that is way overkill. i would not recommend this.
there are several microamps that can be had for not that much that will probably double the amount of power over the factory amplifier. the would be a good choice, you'll just want to run your own power and ground. you can get a OEM compatible connector off aliexpress to make the speaker level and remote turn on plug and play with the factory connector. i ordered https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802263984849.html and it even came with pins.

you can use either. the stock sub amp is pretty decent and makes a rather healthy amount of power. it's the crappy bose sub that is the limiting factor. just take a look at one once it's been removed, it looks like a $5 piece of junk. you'll need a spacer to get most any aftermarket sub to fit. i got a 3/4" one off amazon.
