Default HVAC Frustrations - seeking how-to settings assistance

Fellow members,

I've owned a '17 Macan S since March 2016. I've still been unable to figure out the damn/confusing HVAC system. My wife is looking to trade it in for another brand, if we can't get this figured out post haste...

How do you get heat on your feet/floor board and also get the windows to defrost, simultaneously?

Everytime we get in the Macan, and turn on the defrost and heat/simultaneously for the feet/floor, or even the air vents, the HVAC goes to full on blast. It gets so hot, we always have to turn it off, then repeat.... In essence, the HVAC system is always on full blast when turning on defrost, then it always gets too hot! It's an annoying cycle! RTFM, has not been any help, lol...

What to do??? Your input/explanation is seriously sought!

TYIA,

b

Doesn’t skipping the defrost butting but hitting the button with the up arrow and the button with the down arrow get the mix that you want through the vents you want and have it controlled by the fan speed you set? The defrost button is for max defrost. It was the same in my BMW.
