Cayenne versus Macan

I've been shopping between these two on and off for a year or so, If it was an easy choice I would've made it a long time ago. As much as they are supposed to be "similar", I find them to be completely different vehicles.
The Cayenne feels like an SUV, a very good-handling SUV, but still an SUV. People get in and out of it and have plenty of room both front and back. The Macan feels like a roomier 911. I'll take turns at speeds I wouldn't think of trying in the Cayenne.
If we didn't already have a new twin turbo V8 BMW X5, I'd get the Cayenne - but not the base model. It's nice, but it is a slug. Since the SUV box is checked for us, I'm getting a Macan Turbo.
