Default Side Blade issue?

Understand that there were some issues with some early Macan EVs as far as fit and finish on some reviews (i.e. Out of Spec Motoring) that were mentioned.

However I think I may have experienced the results of one of these panels with varying clearance. Wifey was out with her 2024 Macan 4 EV last weekend and when opening the door comfort access unlocked ALL doors except the driver's side. Multiple attempts and no joy and she called me to help. Car would unlock every door but the driver side. Mother in law was able to manually unlock the door so she could get in but when opening she felt a resistance and then a pop sound. She thought nothing off it got in and came home from garden store/nursery where I took a look at it. Comfort access worked for me intermittently with my key and hers and even locked me out of the passenger side once in the driveway. However the real issue was when I checked the rear passenger door...it looks as if the rear passenger side side blade has shifted imperceptible but enough that it comes into contact with the edge of the rear of the drivers door if opened. That must have been the resistance and pop she felt. Problem now is you can't open both doors at the same time without one hitting the other/rubbing/grazing. To be clear the rear drivers side passenger door opens fine but ONLY after the Driver's door is open. Also can now see a definate defect in the front edge of the side blade where contact was made.

Anyone heard of this before in their Macan EV or any Porsche? First time I've seen it but am both perplexed and a bit annoyed...as this is a $95k plus car and a Porsche so would NOT expect fit and finish issues. To be sure I checked and there was NO damage to the door prior or elsewhere...no scrapes or bumps or dings like say if it was hit and knocked out of place but seems it just delaminated from the door or its attachment point just enough by a few mm's to make contact and displace itself and contact the door. Have an appt with the dealer since we just took delivery in Jan 2025 of the car and they said they need to keep the car because of both issues [comfort access locking issues and door issue now] to fix it...but what would you guys expect and think they'll do/say? As car is in warranty and I also purchased ding/appearance and wheel + tire protection plan..my intent is they fix the car under those.

Thoughts? Comments welcome.

Looks like that rear panel is shifted slightly forward in those pictures, for sure.

That was my perception too..somehow it shifted a few mm which was all it took to make contact now with the door edges. Definitely out of factory tolerances.

Update...dealer says the tech thinks "it was possibly caused by seat belt getting caught in the door." Nof definatively but possibly....I call the BS flag on this one. No way seems logically or physically given placement of the belts and side blade location and no damage aparant from say a contact closure. I think as 1st service rep opined that one of the snaps/fastners of the side blade worked loose just enough to allow the edge (now raised) to contact the driver's door edge on opening....not a seat belt and IMHO dealer [as expected[ is just trying not to honor an obvious defect in part and finish from Porsche. Thoughts anyone?

Updates. Dealer service manager had his lead technician re-inspect the panel. Now says it was caused by panel/blade not being installed correctly and protruding into the door frame area and making contact. New parts on way from Germany and need to be prepped and painted so will take a few weeks but covered by Porsche under warranty as a defect. As I believed and told them likely occurred. Glad they come back with a better answer and correct one. Will keep all informed.
