« If » the delivery of your MY 2024 Macan is delayed, is there a deadline in your mind that triggers an order cancellation?

Reality is MY2025 will be delivered to dealers/customers in November.

If MY2024 are not delivered in September, it’ll be just a month “early access” for the MY2024 buyers at best. It already sucks if they do deliver them on 9/20, but MY24 will surely feel more and more bitter with every additional day.

Worst case scenario is the issue (whatever it is) only gets fixed early November and MY24 gets released at the same time as MY25. I would flip.

 

Roll out of a new platform. Having lived through the 911 chip fiasco earlier this year, some delays may be expected. And you can expect Porsche will be tight lipped on the details.

 

I was told if you cancel after Macan goes into production, then you lose the deposit. I paid £3000 deposit.
So, I will have to put up with the wait : (

 

Technically you most likely could move it to another purchase with your dealer.

 

Here are the screenshot of our dates and noted holds (CARB/FED Certification) from a few weeks ago. Our turbo is sitting at Benicia port until released is authorized. Scheduled pickup 9/20.

 

That was another reason I moved my order from the Macan 4 (September delivery) to the 4S (December delivery). The Macan 4 was already produced but for the small price increase, I could get the 2025 MY, which may (or may not) help with values.

 

I did the same. Nearly same spec, swapped 2024 Macan 4 build (Sept delivery) to 2025 Macan 4S build (late November/early Dec delivery).

Well I was notified today that my 4S is going to be "up to 8 weeks delayed" because of the insulated glass option. They pushed my delivery to 1/3/25 from 12/3/25 but said it could be up to 8 weeks.
Of course I want it sooner but it is not life and death and I will wait until I can get the spec I want.

 

Was able to option it on my 4, which is waiting on release date. Not to pour salt in the wound, but guess it was some consolation for not changing my order to the 4S when announced.

 

Same here, insulated glass on a Macan turbo, both are waiting for delivery!
This supply chain problem seems to be very recent
