Aventurine Green is Stunning color. We had a Targa selected in that color before it dropped from the 992 availability. Saw it in person at our dealer, and it was exciting.

With that said, in most lighting it looks very close to grey. Clean in sunlight, you can definitely see it’s green.

Our short list for our Macan EV Turbo was AG and Frozen Blue metallic. When we sent pics to our sons, one replied what’s the grey one? Killed AG for my wife, so frozen blue it is. 😊

 

He might have color vision deficiency. I do, and lots of subtle reds/greens look gray to me.

 

Very true. am actually color blind, red/green, blue/purple. My son isn’t. Reinforcing the point that often AG looks grey depending on the light. Our current 2018 is volcano grey which is very grey. Agate grey and AG are close depending on the light.

Current green offerings Oak Green Metallic Neo was tempting. Little too candy green for us. Always difficult to tell from the configurator but love to see one in person before config lock.

 

I did the same. Pairing it with the truffle brown interior.

 

I was considering this until I saw a cayenne or macan I can't recall that's how memorable it was in this color and won't option it. I think the darker green is better. but I'll probably end up with grey.

What sort of grey? Ice grey (almost white), Volcano grey (almost black) or Dolomite?

 

I think this color is one that is really light dependent. It was a bright sunny day and it just looked washed out. It didn't stand out for me.

I have a Dolomite macan now, it's a nice silver, a bit of blue to it (almost like older 993 polar silver but with LESS blue than that).

I saw an Ice Grey Taycan the other day and it looked nicer in the shade than in the sun (to me). I like the color but in the light it looks more like a metallic white.

It's my wife's car so probalby Volcano Grey or another Dolomite. She likes the red interiors and those go well with red. Boring I know. The oak green with the club leather is an option too but she's not sure if she likes that green.

I love Gentian blue, but we already have a Taycan cross tour in that color.

Oh I had a macan loaner in that ruby/red/metallic color they offer on the EV and I didn't not like that. I was hoping it would have been more like Vesuvius Metallic which is a great color.

 

Neither the Macan or Cayenne were available in Aventurine... Only the 911 and 718... and it is going to be discontinued for those soon.

 

So it’s going to be a very rare color. Maybe a must have one (if first owner is ok with)?

 

the turbonite window trim does look pretty good on AG. I opted gloss black to match the wheel arch trim.. wondering if i should switch back to turbonite trim now!

Considering I still have another 30 years of driving ahead of me. I'll take the EV now and keep my classics for fun.

I can see why no one wants a used EV from auction... I drove a 2016 Model X and it felt like it was 20 years old.
