Macan EV: Macan EV Production and Delivery Discussion Thread

Nothing for those of us whose car was going to be shipped on the Marvelous Ace to Baltimore, Freeport, and other points, that that ship is now being "skipped". It's been at anchor for a week. Waiting for my SA to reach out but my Oct 11 date will likely be at least a month later.

Update for US deliveries… At least here in the Northeast.
Any cars still in port are apparently held until 9/25. Yesterday mine showed as transport to dealer on 9/18 and has now updated to 9/25, along with all other cars the dealer is waiting on.
Not sure what’s causing the new delay, but frustrating as we get closer to October and 2025 models being available…

I stopped by a dealership in Chicago to see one yesterday. Volcano grey with black/chalk interior Macan4 still partially wrapped in plastic. It looked very good.

Where at? My macan 4 ordered from Lincolnwood. Want to see one in the flesh but Lincolnwood I believe does not have any yet.

My dealer said they didn't have any yet because the first cars they got in weren't demo cars - they were customer orders. But I drove by and saw a bunch of Macan 4s in the lot. I'd be there are some at every dealer at this point.

Porsche Downtown Chicago. Happened to drive by there on the way home from work. I called while I was block away and the first salesperson was very coy about whether I was allowed to see it. Parked my car about a minute later and took my chances walking into the dealership. The second salesperson reluctantly, but graciously went to their garage and pulled the grey one up in front of the dealership. Very nice guy and I'm appreciative that he went through the time and effort to show me the car even though he knew that I'd already specced one (with deposit) at a different dealership. I've had good, albeit short visits to that dealership.

Just talked to my SA and he said that they were waiting on the last updates and recalls to remove the sale hold. They just got the last of those today so the moment mine arrives at the dealers they can update and get me on my way. Apparently they are also all in enclosed containers at the port so there is low-to-no salt air exposure sitting for the months there. Additionally we have 12 years of rust and corrosion coverage with our warranty.

Curious if they were in those transport trucks for the past 2 months. That'd be rather abnormal. From what I've seen both on the east coast and west coast, cars are a bit dirty when they show up at dealerships.

Agreed - that seems at odds with every photo I've ever seen of the port lots. For me the 12 year corrosion warranty is key if there is any exposure. I also live near the coast in the LA Basin so I'm not exactly safe from salty air in my day-to-day.

Test drove one at Porsche Riverside today. The car is fantastic. They had one for test drives and one in the lobby. It's more of my "size" than our Cayenne. Still glad I went for the 4S with the extra HP (and the 2025 MY).
