Does it have a dash bar? Why not copy the cup car door bars (pyramid x)?

Looks nice.

I'm fairly certain that they are pyramid x-bars. They extend into the driver's door in a pyramid shape if that's what you mean. There is a cross bar under the dash. Tucked away where you won't hit it with your knees. Todd has built quite a few cup cages, so he's very familiar with the design.

Here is a top view of the x-bar to give you an idea of how it's built.

very nice. Interesting that he didn't gusset the X or add the jack bar going vertical to the floor.

Will you be painting it yourself or will you be paying someone to do it?

I'm planning to have a body shop paint it. I"m either going to have them paint only the cage and the tie-in points in the same color of the car, or paint the entire interior in white. The latter is my preferred option, but it depends upon the cost differential.

I am still working on the Feb. event, and the logistics are getting very interesting. It all involves a vacation to Scottsdale, getting the car and tires to TX., flying from TX to AZ, then back to TX if I decide to drive the car/ship the wheels and tires, while my wife would fly to and from AZ. Shouldn't be a problem at all....except I will need a place to receive some wheels/tires, keep them after the event for a week....and maybe a car. Just a FEW details to work out.

My wife's only questions....1. Will the suite in Scottsdale be poolside? (where else!!!???), 2. When will you be joining me after playing with your car?

Here's a pic of my Cup cage. Some gusseting but no jack bar. Mike's cage is VERY close to a cup cage.

Bull, let me know how I can help you with the logistics of wheels/tires, car, etc... Or, even the wifey. I'm a little over 90 minutes from the venue and will most likely attend.
