I totally understand your financial dilemma, Larry, and feel for you on it. But I'm pretty sure that would have happened no matter who was in office. If those terrorist attacks had happened under, say, Kennedy's watch, what do you think he would have done? After all, he is the one who put us in Vietnam, is he not?

Don't worry about not being humorous . . . voicing your thoughts is very good. And what better place to do it than here among friends? A lot of us joke about Obama, but we'll never think any different of you for voting for who you feel is the best candidate. It is your right, and I for one am proud of you for excercising that right. At least you're paying attention and voting. You'd be surprised at how many folks I've come across who still believe their vote doesn't count. Sigh.

Look again, my friend. If any part of your question is "why are you happy with McCain?", I'm not. I would just select him over Obama.

Let us just agree to disagree. Otherwise I would have to post something like:

"Don't be the first on your block to forget those that Terrorists put in a box, and its 1, 2, 3, 4, isn't there anything you are willing to fight for"

We need to discuss this further over lunch and beer. First lots of beer, then food, then discussion (if we still can remember what we were discussing). I'll let you know the next time I'm in North Jersey.

Calm down, Dave. With enough beer you'll forget you're in Jersey all together. Be careful when talking politics while drinking . . . you might end up in jail. ROFL.

There is an email going around criticizing Obama . . . some of the stuff is flat out lies, but the part that is true is kinda scary. Check out http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/ownwords.asp I'm sure you'll get an email from somebody eventually . . .

Conservatives? There are no more conservatives in power. Only Neocons. You guys have all been slowly co-oped w/o even knowing it.
Tell me who was the last republican president to send a balanced budget to congress?
Last R pres that did not increase the national debt?
Last R pres that did not get our country into a war?
Economic meltdown, not be accident. Read the Shock Doctrine. I lived this in Argentina in the 90s. Menen/Cavalo! Pinochet. Destroys countries to move extreme wealth into the hands of a few cronies at the expense of the people.
What has happened to good governance and social justice?

They were displaced by rampant socialism.

It is not inexpensive to clean up after a Democrat.

You hatin' on the wrong people Bonni. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Iraq was secular and disliked radical Islamic groups too, until we went in. Now that we shook the can and popped the lid 1000s of years of turmoil are bubbling up. Fat chance of us doing anything about that. Iraq is a Bush goatscrew from day one. Who put us there in the first place? I don't read political posts or reply to those that do. This is a one and only for me. Regardless of who you want to vote in next, Bush is The Worst President Ever. While on his guard this country has been thrown into a stupid hurtful to us endless war, the deficit is off the charts and growing at an accelerated rate and the economy is in the dumper. What did he do right?

Freedom. All the hard work of the service men and women is for freedom for all of us. Doing anything suppressive to someone regarding the way they want to vote is a strike against it. His sign, that fact that he can feel safe enough to even put it up regardless of what is on it, is a sign of the freedom we all share thanks to those that defend it. Defending freedom is not always picking up a gun. It is defended at home among ourselves as well.
