Oh, no worries - after roding with Mike, Ike will be a breeze.

This was my reward after all the work boarding the place up:



Why the paint pen, you ask? No, I wasn't trying to smoke it (doesn't go well with the Macanudo). Had to turn the kids loose on the plywood.

I'm only ~4-5 miles from Mike ( ) - gusty. 30+ mph breezes.

Just as Robert reports. Gusty, but not really even raining yet. I'm half temped to open the garage door, and go have another cigar. I've got some nice store-blend ones.

Glad everyone "hunkered down" and survived Ike. Whew!!

Here in Austin they are predicting wind so bad that it might be a bad hair day. I better "hunker down" like all the news stations are telling me....
