Good luck to all who are in the path of Ike. Be safe my friends. Keep your loved ones close and remember...."all booze to the basement!".

Hang tough Texans, all of us in hurricane alley understand the mental stress that comes from not only the storm itself but the anticipation of its arrival.

I generally don't post in here, hwfmr, but I frequently lurk because you folks crack me up.

We are all sending Positive thoughts your way, see you on the other side.

Would you mind coming by and digging a basement for me? I'll supply the shovel.

I would be happy to come by and supervise such activity, but I have never found a left handed shovel that I can use...same for rakes, snow shovels, etc.

Got you covered. It's left handed, AND it's a metric shovel.

Good one, Steve, but I was serious. Nobody gets their own bathroom, though, lol. I don't suppose at this point it would be wise to actually travel down here. That opportunity has probably already passed the safety zone, as Ike is pretty much due west of us at this time. Check out this footage: http://www.weather.com/multimedia/vi...rom=hp_video_1 There's a lot of it, but WOW. The seawall in Galveston has been run over. We've got some causeways and roads under water here, as well. Keep us posted, Texas folks! Hopefully you all have generators!
