Okay, turnabout is fair play! Twice I've rodden with Mike, and twice we've gone farming.

Next time... I drove.

I'm in buddy! Next month at TWS?

btw, the two worst and stupidest offs I've had have both been when you were in the car. I think we create bad carma.

Oh, well in that case we'll definitely have to take your car.

Robert,

When droving, do you have a checklist you follow before you leave pit lane?

No reflection on you Robert. As far as we have seen, there has not been a time where Globe has ventured on track and not gone agricultural! I'm beginning to suspect that VR told him that there is a Cayenne line out there somewhere.

Well, let's see. I've droven out of the paddock with (not all at the same time):

my helmet unbuckled
my HANS unclipped
the steering wheel off center
the pins for the SRF tail hanging off the antennae
the e-brake on

So, no - I think it's safe to say I don't have a checklist!

I'm the pretty boy sonofabitch - do I have to do EVERYTHING?

BTW, running over snakes while wandering around droving off of the track surface does not count!

Done all that except one... no maybe two.

I realized my helmet was unbuckled when the airflow over my formula car started to lift the helmet off my head.

Glad I'm not the only one that went out onto a hot track with my helmet unbuckled once. I ran a whole session like that and neither me nor my instructor ever noticed until I came in at the end and went to undo my helmet. Now I'm almost fanatical about doing that last tug on the helmet strap and seat belt when I'm about to get the point to go out.

Yep, it's a creepy feeling, particularly if you're racing an open cockpit car. I think I managed to strap the helmet down during the race.

I know I pulled the steering wheel off the hub & reseated it (straight) between T2 & T3 at least once, maybe twice.

I don't want to embarass him, so I won't identify him, but I know someone who bought one of those jack-point deals that is about the size of a hockey puck, and fits into the hole of the rear jack-point on a late model Carerra. He used it when he put on his track tires before heading to the track. On the second session of the day, he noticed this hockey puck sized thing sitting on the concrete just before pit-out, and thought, wonder how someone's jack-point thing got there. Then when he got home, he couldn't find his anywhere in his garage...
