Just trying to have a little fun. I made the mistake of venturing out into the Off Topic area and got caught up in the price of oil, politics, cops getting run over and all kinds of different $hit. Too serious for me. It's much more fun busting guys *****, trust me.

Much lower IQ, er, easier crowd to deal with here. For example, they post 15 paragraph replies to support their point of view, graphs, figure, statistics?!?!!? Bull, you for one don't post anything longer than 1 line in your posts. Just check out your last posts, that's what I mean by easier.

BTW, your not on that secret, probably doesn't even exist sub committee for membership are you? I'm still waiting on the response to my app.

Pete . . . the fact that you use "747" in your nick indicates far too much speed for this group. Maybe if you changed it to "flight_c-130" your ap may or may not be approved sooner by the committee which may or may not exist. But there are no guarantees, as it is still unknown if the secret committee exists. This may or may not make any sense, and I may or may not care.

How do you figure? Aside from my race number with PCA, A Boeing 747, is an outdated (1970 build, 1960's design), is big, lumbering, two story, fuel burning people hauler, an SUV for the sky if you will.

I was living on the water of Puget Sound when Boeing did the first test flights over the water in '69/'70. I still recall how amazed everyone was to see them flying low and slow for the first time.

I also recall spending way too many hours in the upstairs lounge during 14+ hour flights to Narita airport back when I had a real job.

Are there any planes that still have those upstairs bars? Anyway . . . the reference I was making in regard to speed is that the 747 was a pretty fast plane for its size. The C-130 only goes about 200 (give or take depending on which model) mph. They are still cool, though.
